Let It Roll!

So, the Iron Bowl is this weekend- in case you didn't know. It appears we will be watching with several Auburn fans(aka the Inlaws). Ummm- somehow this seems like trouble to me. The holiday festivities could turn ugly quick. Don't worry, the Sass Family will be decked out in crimson pulling for the Tide. We will TRY not to rub it in when we beat them. Who am I kidding? I will be shouting at the top of my lungs: Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer...

I also want to alert you that The Alabama State Troopers are cracking down on speeders heading into Auburn . For the first offense, they give you two Auburn Tigers tickets. If you get stopped a second time, they make you use them. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Don't hate me for being a Bama fan. I have paid my dues. I have been a fan for almost 10 years. We have been horrible for 9 of them. Don't be mad if we beat you this year. Don't even think about us being even better next year. I'm just saying.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

He's A Character!

Little Red has decided that it is ok to do whatever he wants as long as he throws his hands in the air and announces Ta-Da when he is done. Like just saying Ta-Da makes it ok to finger paint with toothpaste, continually open & close the fridge & dishwasher, play with my jewelry and all sorts of other naughty things. KeKe and I are hoping that Ta-Da will work for us, too. I'm thinking the cute factor is in play here because I just can't see my boss appreciating a Ta-Da at the end of my next presentation. We shall see.

Little Red has started a serious growling habit. He likes to pretend he is a "tee wex," which makes a growling sound. Duh. My favorite time for him to do it is when we are in Target. It is awesome when a sweet old lady looks at him and smiles and he growls at her. The terror in her eyes is priceless. I promise he really is harmless and sweet. Most of the time. I tell him to be sweet and stop growling. His response- "But mommy, I'm a tee wex, I have to." How do you compete with that? His bark is bigger than his bite, which hasn't always been the case. On second thought, I am thinking the growling isn't so bad compared to the biting habit of the past.

I am missing the little stinker so much. He has been with GG and B-Bop for 2 days and is headed to Mr. Sass's parents house today. I know Nanu & Pop will be glad to have him-hopefully he will keep the growling to a minimum. Happy Birthday, Pop! Mr. Sass and I will head south after work tomorrow to spend Turkey Day with his family. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Nanu's cooking rocks. Yummo! I can't wait to spend the holidays with my boys, but I will miss everyone in Tennessee.

Weekend Recap

Operation Relaxication was a total success! GG and I had a blast. We shopped til we dropped then ordered room service and watched movies. It truly was fabulous! Mr. Sass and Little Red survived without me somehow, though Little Red decided it was time to get up and play at 3am. I am so glad Mr. Sass got to experience Little Red in the wee hours.

Little Red is staying at GG and B-Bop's for a few days. He is having a blast and I am going to accomplish several things on my to-do list. I miss him like crazy and I no longer have an excuse for not getting things done.

Last night was the Community Thanksgiving Service at church. Little Red and I were running early (can you believe it?) and decided to run in TJ Max to kill time. As I was getting him out and closing the door, I saw my keys on the seat beside his car seat. It happened in slow motion. I cried inside. Thank goodness for B-Bop and AAA. B-Bop saved the day by picking up Little Red, who was totally done with being patient. As they were driving to church, Little Red said "B-Bop, take me to Starbucks (one of their favorite places)?" B-Bop had to break the news that they were going to church! Little Red had a blast playing with his friends at church and was a little angel. He didn't even growl at anyone.

Relaxication

In less than 24 hours total Relaxication (yes, its a proper noun) will begin. For those of you that don't know-A Relaxication is a vacation during which you actually relax. I usually need a vacation from my vacation, KWIM? I am so excited that my little big sister is going to join my mom (whom will be referred to as GG from now on) and me for our Relaxication. Molly, hands off the remote!

Rules for Relaxicating:

1. No children allowed. If we see any children we will turn the other way. Don't take it personally.

2. No one is allowed to call me mom, mama, mommy or any deviation of the word. I will not respond.

3. We will NOT watch E-mo. No way, no how. I don't care how much you beg or how cute you say my hair is.

4. There will be no waking me up at 2, 4 and/or 6am. I will ignore you. I will not budge. You will be sorry. I am not responsible for injuries.

5. Absoloutley no whining, pouting, begging or nagging. If you cry, you die.

Doesn't that sound like heaven?

This Relaxication Extravaganza is a reward for GG & me. We both set goals to lose weight and promised ourselves a night away when we reached our goals. GG, I am super proud of you. You are an inspiration and I am so very lucky that you are my mom. I can't wait to spend some much needed QT with you.

We will be here

We will have a fabulous time. We will relax to the max. We will miss you. Maybe.

Something Smells Fishy

Little Red LOVES to take baths. He would stay in the tub for hours if we let him. Last night Mr. Sass told him he was going to turn into a fish if he didn't get out. Little Red immediately said, "No daddy, I am a shark!"

Did I mention his new favorite movie is Nemo (he calls it E-mo)? We watched it for the 365 billionth time last night. It was a cute movie the first 10 times I watched it. If I have to watch it again I may puke. Any suggestions on cute family friendly movies that will hold a 2 1/2 year olds attention without making me lose my mind ? Nemo is going to be swimming away tonight. Far far away.

I got my hair cut yesterday afternoon. My new girl is da bomb! When I picked Ramsey up from the sitter he looked at me and said, "Tute hair, mommy!" What can I say, the kid is a charmer!
I'm thinking he was trying to butter me up to watch E-mo AGAIN.

I. will. resist. the. cuteness.

Random Thoughts

We had a busy weekend and an even busier Monday!

First, I want to give a shout out to my baby sister. She turned 18 on Sunday. Becca, I love you and am so proud of you. You are smart, creative and beautiful: inside & out. Enjoy every moment- you will be 27 1/2 and feeling older than dirt before you know it!

We celebrated Becca's bday Sunday night at my parents house. Little Red entertained us all. He laughed at everyone's jokes and stories. He hugged and kissed everyone and told them how much he "wuvs them." He is going to make a great politician. He really is such a sweet kiddo, especially when he is sleeping!

I am so looking forward to Saturday! My mom and I are celebrating our weight loss with a night at Ross Bridge Resort. A bed to myself, full control of the remote, room & maid service. I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it. Mr. Sass and Little Red will be on their own for the night. I don't even want to think about the condition that my house will be in on Sunday when I get home. A small price to pay for 24 hours of heaven.

First Blog!

Little Red is growing so fast and getting funnier by the minute as life gets more and more hectic. I am hoping to keep up with the hilarity that we call life on this blog. Dealing with Little Red and Mr. Sass is quite an adventure. There is never a dull moment.

Little Red was the cutest little monkey for halloween. After putting his monkey attire on, he promptly said, "Mommy, now I go climb trees." Guess what? We went outside and climbed trees. That's how we roll.
