We watched part of Pirates of the Caribbean 3 last night. I can't believe it doesn't scare Little Red one bit. Those pirates totally freak me out. I can't even imagine the make-up and costumes that go in to making those movies. I admit there are times I have to look away because of the gross factor. During the movie we had this convo:
LR- Dat girl can't be a pirate.
Me- What? Why can't she?
LR- She's a gurl and she's too pwitty.
Me- Actually, she can be anything she sets her mind to. You know girls can do anything boys can do.
LR- Nope, only me and Daddy can by pirates. Mommy is too pwitty.
Ack, I didn't know what to say. Do I thank him for calling me pretty and hug his neck or do I stick to my guns and continue explaining that I can be a pirate if I want to be(even though obviously I don't)? Ugh, he got me. One point, LR!

Too funny!
I'm going to have fun trying to have this conversation with my son because his father can be such a macho pig and he definitely does not believe that girls can do anything boys can do! But how sweet that he said you were too pwitty to be a pirate!
Hmmm... that is too hard of a question. I think you answered it just fine!
Hmmmm...I would take the flattery and run with it.
Hey...Just read your cooment on my blog. You know I do custom drapery? I can sew something for your kitchen window!
You are so funny, Cassie! I love reading your posts! Your take on life with LR cracks me up! See you Sunday!
You just can't argue with the objectification (is that a word?) of women when you're being called "pwitty." Too sweet.
You just hug his neck and kiss his cheek and say "You are absolutely right!"
